This is the Ottawa Senator I believe will be picked by Seattle during the expansion draft.

Here are the most pressing positional needs Ottawa should address at the right opportunity.

        1. A #1 centreman if Stutzle is better suited at LW

        2. A 2nd line RW that shoots right and is either a power forward or can score goals in bunches.

        3. A top 4 RD that shoots right and can play well in a pairing with Chabot if neither Lassi Thomson nor JBD are the answer.
        CGY
Top targets for Ottawa in the 1st round ranked in order of importance if addressing positional need is the main objective:

          X. Matthew Beniers (C) University of Michigan

          X. William Eklund (C) Djurgardens

          X. Dylan Guenther (RW) Edmonton Oil Kings

          X. Brandt Clarke (RD) HC Nove Zamky/Barrie Colts

          1. Kent Johnson (C) University of Michigan

          2. Fabian Lysell (RW) Lulea

          3. Aatu Raty (C) Karpat

However, Ottawa could be going on a winning streak down the stretch to finish out the season.

So what I did was put on an x beside each prospect that could be out of our range if we don't win the lottery.

I've also added three other prospects that Ottawa could choose from to address their needs:

          4. Cole Sillinger (C) Sioux Falls Stampede

          5. Chaz Lucius (C) University of Minnesota

          6. Oskar Olausson (LW/RW) HV71

Why chose Calgary? You made me think you were trading with them

Consider yourself fortunate that it happens so rarely. As a Ducks fan, it's a constant.

Once people start realizing that Seattle is available on here now, it'll stop.

is Sanderson expected to crack the lineup next year? I don't follow the Sens close enough to know, but they've got a hell of a prospect pool

Not out of camp but he could join after the college season ends for the last few games of the regular season if he turns pro (seems likely)

I'm not necessarily dying to get a #1 center just yet, especially with Norris's late season surge. I may be more optimistic, but I think it's very likely he turns into a Patrice Bergeron/Sean Couturier type player, who can definitely anchor a first line with talented wingers like Stützle, Batherson and Tkachuk. I also think Pinto should be given prime minutes to see if he can make that same jump, and I'd be okay if that was our 1-2, with White on a 3rd line with Formenton and Brown/Dzingel/Paul.

i also hope they give JBD lots of time with Chabot - I agree if we can upgrade on Zaitsev, we should, but I want to see if he can do it first.

Jake Sanderson will be playing for the University of North Dakota next year.

In this post, he is signed to his ELC.
