            What?!?!

Calgary might be the most interesting team to choose from.

Unless Lucic waives, someone like Backlund, Tanev, Dube, Gio, etc will likely be Seattle bound.

            Maybe they take Gio imo.

            Id protect:
Tkachuk, Gaudreau, Monahan, Lindholm, Mangiapane, Dube, Backlund. (Lucic will 100% waive)
            Hanifin, Andersson, Tanev

That's kind of what I thought too.

Gio could very well be Seattle's version of Fleury.

i assume Washington trades VV before letting him get picked for free. could get a 2nd round pick for him imo

the question is which team has a goalie spot open to protect.

Would you accept Boston’s second round pick from Buffalo? A tandem with Ullmark sounds good to me.

Also makes the Taylor Hall trade look better for Buffalo. They got a player they are using as a top six forward, and a 25-year-old goaltender who can be a 1B caliber backup for Ullmark until Luukkonen is ready to take the reins.
