He's going to be 29 in year one. With a torn ACL and an MCL sprain on his legs. If he won't sign for 4 million or less in TO, I would let him walk without hesitation.

I don’t see Hyman signing in Buffalo. There aren’t many right wing options available in free agency to begin with. The Sabres are pretty well set with their left wing depth. If you’re going to add it’s via trade, either before or after the expansion draft, Although the Sabres have plenty of forwards to protect already. The Sabres could explore trading Ristolainen to a team that doesn’t already have three defensemen worth protecting, but I’m not sure who that is.
