Toffoli, Anderson, Allen and Edmundson are the best players of the team right now. Why should he get fired?

It's not his fault if Suzuki/KK cant offer steady performances, Price/Gally are injured and Weber is tired.

its not completely his fault this season. he's probably had the best offseason this year. his acquisitions have been superb. but its the players who were there last year too who aren't performing. petry dried down. weber's taken a step back. price took a step back. gally was good. tatar hasn't been good. but guys like romanov, allen, toffoli, perry, anderson have been MUCH better than expected. i dont think its 100% coaches fault either because these types of players aren't his players. the players need to step up. if the guys were playing well, he'd be in convo for gm of the year.

In business as in hockey good management is responsible for a company's or team performance......Bergevin is fully responsible for the team's performance and record and yes alot of this is on his clock and he needs to go.

Not completely less......just mostly his fault as the GM.......He as the GM is directly responsible for the team's performance.......tired of hearing about excuses for him.....he is a master at always having an excuse for poor results.

dude its really not. he's had an insane offseason. after 2018, he totally changed the team and his draft selections will make us successful for the next decade. the only bad trade he made was drouin for sergachev. besides that he's totally fleeced teams.

Yes this is why when the stockmarket crashed last year every CEO of the Fortune 500 lost their job...

Wrong...but every one of them would have lost their jobs if they did not perform for like a 5 year period which differs from Bergevin ......I stopped drinking Bergevin's kool-aid when I realized it was making it me sick......I just find him to be like a used car salesman who is always so much smarter than his own fan base......He is just part of the NHL old boys club and was handed a GM job without paying his dues in management and continues to survive because he has the right connections.

Fleeced teams....you must be kidding....he is a master at picking up a player that no one wants and then snowing the team's fan base that he was so smart.......Absolutely insane he gives away two solid young players in Julssen and Mete in the same year for nothing?

Wow.

Overlooking 30 goals scorers acquisitions to focus on two fringe nhlers lost.

That comment gets you straight to my ignore list.

Good riddance.

Yes, giving away and giving up on two very young defenceman who were high draft choices without ever getting a chance and then calling them fringe NHLers at their age makes no sense......Funny how they were instantly picked up by other teams.

ah yes. losing 2 fringe nhlers taints him as a poor gm but acquiring 30 goal scorers doesn't. makes sense bud.

It makes so sense to me to give up on two young first round draft pick defenceman both under the age of 23 for nothing.......you must be a relative of Bergevin if you think that he made a smart move.....these two players are going to come back and bite the Canadiens just like that other terrible trade of the young Russian defenceman for Drouin......Bergevin only has a job because he is part of the NHL Oldboys club where you get to become a GM based on who you know rather than what you know or based on paying your dues.

ive said it before and ill say it again. his only bad trade was drouin for sergachev. the other d-men im assuming that you are referring to is juulsen? unfortunate that he got picked up, but its not a huge issue as hes a fringe nhler at this point due to injuries. besides that, you can keep crying, but it won't make him a bad gm.

I have watched Juulsen during his minor hockey days and he is a tremendous hockey player with a big heart, thinks the game incredibly well and can skate, pass and hit......Total joke that Bergevin trys to waive him down to the farm team and not get claimed.......total incompetence by Bergevin.

You do not give up on a highly regarded first round pick like Juulsen who had some injuries when he is just starting his career unless you are a total incompetent GM in the NHL.

ah yes. he such a great prospect that even the panthers only played him 4 games and he's 24 years old. excellent analysis my friend. your crying and moaning still doesn't make bergevin a bad gm.

Bergevin is the same guy who signed Price to a crazy contract and then traded for an even crazier contract in Weber.......Is that not total incompetence at its greatest?
