Being honest, I don't think there's a large gap between Hoglander and Suzuki. Both had hot starts, and both kind of struggled after that. There's no denying Suzuki has not been anywhere near as good as projected, and while Hoglander had a flashy start, he's had issues too. Genuinely, I'm not sure that the gap in their ceilings is too far apart, but I might be alone here. The only clear advantage I see here for Suzuki is that he is a C.

I just kinda don’t think you know about Suzuki. He’s probably the most valuable asset in montreal.

Hoglander? Uhhh Pettersson? Granted i think Hughes sucks, but he’s gotta be there. Boeser? Miller?

Hoglander has better upside than Pettersson. Boeser is too injury prone to be of any true value, and Miller had a great season last year but's had a rough time this year.

You can’t be spoken to if you think hoglander has better upside than pettersson.

I think it's totally reasonable to value a player with point per game upside and no major injury history over a player renowned for injury issues who scores at a slightly lower rate.

Point per game upside? One guys been sub half point per game, the other has been in spitting distance of point per game his first three years in the league, scoring at a 33 goal pace.

One guy might be an NHL player, the other is a bonafide number one center, and an elite player in the NHL.

What next? Trent Frederic has higher upside than brad marchand? This is just such a crazy town opinion that it disqualifies the rest.

Buddy, he's a rookie at a PPG rate. That's incredible. He's gonna need a few years, obviously. It's not gonna happen overnight, but just because it isn't there now doesn't mean it isn't in a few years. Even Pettersson himself got off to a slow start in the NHL

Half a point per game rate, leave it. I missed a word. He's got the upside to be better than Pettersson and you know it.

That’s a pretty big word to leave out guy.

I literally think you are the only person on planet earth that has this opinion. Hoglanders own mother would think you’re insane.

I have to assume you’re trolling here. It’s just so outlandish. You’re saying 2+2=banana. It’s just not even on planet earth. Let’s revisit this in a year so we can all have a laugh at how crazy that take was.

I'm saying a rookie at a 1/2 PPG rate has the upside to be a PPG player without injury issues... how is that outlandish

Do you think Pettersson is old or something? He was very close to a point per game player the second he stepped on NHL ice. His upside is probably in the 1.3 point per game range.

Pettersson has never been a point per game player. He's also got a lot of injury issues, never having played a full allocation of games. I'm saying if Pettersson is a PPG, and Hoglander is a PPG, Hoglander will be better for his ability to stay in the lineup.

I never said Pettersson has been a point per game player. Unlike some of us, I didn’t forget the qualifying word.

Pettersson in his very worst game has showed 10x what hoglander has in his very best. What a joke of a conversation. I think you’re just trolling me. No human being could ever hold this opinion, so I’m just gonna chalk you up as a troll and move on.
