Swap vesalainen and wheeler and it looks good to me. This team is scary, just missing some grit and toughness.

They should find a way to get rid of Wheeler. Then it’ll pretty much be an under 30 team

Seth Jones would be a nice signing, but if he hits UFA, I think someone will offer more than that. It would be nice if it worked though.

Yeah imo, they’re one RHD upgrade from being really good. I think Samberg can become another Ekholm and Heinola can be really good too

They could win it this year, without Jones.
It’s a very solid team.
And have some solid d-men in pipeline.
But not sure Vesalainen will be a top-6 player in this crowd.

In the games he got into this year he looked good. Great skater and he’s strong too. Just needs to find some consistency. Also isn’t a complete liability in his own end. Appleton might be more suited to that 2RW spot, but as long as wheeler isn’t there I’d be happy.

Wheeler is taking a lot of punishment this year and it’s going to take a toll on him. Think we’ll see a steep decline in his game. I’d love it if he could get traded, but think we’re stuck with him till he’s done his deal.

Imagine this team without wheeler, and maybe a guy like Rakell on that line. That’s a scary team.

That works as well, either guy would be 3x as good as wheeler there LOL. Guys going to be as slow as a sloth by then.
