Description
Yes I know Ovie won't play anywhere else by Washington, BUT if he seriously wants to break Gretzky's goal scoring record and win another Cup or two, having 29 and 97 setting you up is likely the most surefire way for him to do it. The idea is something he should consider and even though it is extremely unlikely to happen, there is still a chance....

Ditto for Taylor Hall. If he looks at his options, playing with a pair of superstars whose best years are still ahead of him vs with 3 aging NHL all-stars,you'd think he'd come back to Edmonton if he is serious about winning.

Hamilton may love living in Raleigh, but if the money talks to him, this offer should get his attention.

Ethan Bear is an excellent young RHD and would excel on the 3rd in NJ and would not get caved vs elites, not sure if this enough for 2 years of the Covid-impacted Neal, but there may be appeal to try him as a veteran net-front option on their PP.

He’s also gonna want/get more than $5M. Much more, probably.

He is, but need to move Kassian, Yamo is the sweetener and make room on the roster.

I've watched 20 Bakersfield games this season, Gildon is going to be a very good NHL defenseman very soon (he is better than Caleb Jones today, IMO), so there is that as well.

Yes, I know, see comments above. Depends on what kind of legacy he wants to leave. Did you ever think Chara or Lundquist would go anywhere else?

Chats yes lundqvist i didn’t think he’d have to I thought rangers would’ve moved georgiev first. And Ovi’s legacy is already fantastic he’s the best goal scorer of all time, has a Stanley cup and multiple other awards

Most likely he won't move and gets what he wants, but if he wants more than just to be a Caps lifer, his best bet to be the greatest goal-scorer in NHL history would be to take a pay cut and move to Edmonton.

    Even a 0.05% chance is a chance.

Isn't that what this site is about?

Like said, depends what he wants. He already has lots of money and awards, but only 1 Cup and doesn't have the NHL goal scoring record, he still needs 164 goals to tie Gretzky.

Ovechkin, Hall, Coleman, and maybe Larsson? A UFA is worth whatever the highest bidder thinks they are worth.

Easy no from Florida. They want to shed salary (Yandle/Stralman) so they can resign Barkov and Huberdeau. Ty is going to be very good and so is Gildon.
