JT is absolutely better than Kopitar. He's not the best skater but he still can skate circles around Kopitar.

its close but Kopitar has been better defensively and Tavares has slowed down offensively since 18-19

Everyone in the entire world outside of LA homers would agree with this if JT wasn't a Leafs. Kopitar is older, so slow and just not as good.

And yet JT has a good amount more points over the past 3 years, including an 88 point season and is plus 27 to Kopitar who is a minus over the same stretch. There is zero argument to prove this. Kopitar is the number 1 centre on a bad team and they are bad because their best player is old and slow.

Yea JT has been on an absolute tear right now. This last stretch may be the best he's ever been for Toronto. He's been a man on a mission lately

I understand, like I said, its pretty close. I just think Kopitar brings a little bit more consistency to his game.

Isn't Heinola supposed to be really good? Might be a tie on that one.

Yeah he definitely has more upside, but these are strictly just on what they have done at the NHL level right now

Oh, I see. That makes sense.
