Seattle won’t be taking burns for that meager compensation.

Two nothing players and a 2nd round pick to take on burns contract? I was being nice with meager.

lol, Dahlen and Donato aren't nothing players.

Dahlen is a good prospect but it's hard to compare him to others given he's in the SHL. I'd expect him to return to North America next season and challenge for a roster spot.
Donato has been playing on the bottom line but has still been doing well. He's really a middle 6 player.

2 young, future middle 6 forwards and a 2nd for Burns is more than enough.

Dahlen is a 23 year old playing in Sweden’s second tier league.

While with the sharks, donato has played at a 15 goal, 17 assist per 82 game pace. He’s so horrible away from the puck that he really should put up 50 points before cracking anyone’s lineup. Interesting pattern with donato. Bruins started out by giving him 15 minutes a night. Then they cut it to 12 because they realized he stunk, and they shipped him out of town. Minnesota started out giving him near 15 minutes, and then the next year it was 10, and then they shipped him out of town because he stinks.

Calling either of those guys middle six forwards is a joke. Donato plays for the sharks because the sharks are bad, and need to get some better forwards.
Dahlen is playing in a 2nd tier European league and is 23. That’s a bad package to take on a bad contract for what, four years? Not to mention 24 million dollars.

Don't pay attention to @Bcarlo25 's burner he's a troll who has no clue what he's talking about. I think it's decent compensation for Burns considering Pittsburgh paid a 2nd for Vegas to take Fleury.

Yeah but he's lighting it up in that league

lol, saying Donato needs to get 50+ points to compensate for his defensive skills is crazy. If anyone can get 45 points in the NHL they should be in the league without a doubt.

Not saying that Dahlen is a middle 6 forward, I'm saying there's a very good chance he will be one.

I didn’t say his defensive skill. I said away from the puck. He’s really really bad away from the puck.

Older Guys tear up lower leagues all the time. It’s incredibly rare that it translates to NHL success. Very good chance? Theres a chance. 1 in 40? Somewhere around there.

well defensive skill is a big part of being away from the puck

Way more than 1 in 40. Dahlen isn't even old.
