Panthers decline. Much rather have weegar than 1 year of Reilly who will make much more

Typically contending teams don't trade their players for worse players, which is what is happening here.

    Holtby has a .905sv% since 2017

How on earth is he still seen as an asset

Miller sorta kinda is the cost to unload him

I know Sandin has had a nice couple of games, but moving Reilly and slotting him right into a top spot is not a good idea.

Stop trading Nylander. If it helps, when you look at his stats ignore the hits. You'll like him more for it.

Weegar > Rielly, plus he is on a better contract with more term
Why are we doing this, and especially why are we adding?

    Woah, woah, how does Weegar>Rielly?
I agree Flordia would not do this trade, but how does Weegar>Rielly exactly?

Weegar is elite defensively, Rielly is not good defensively
Rielly has 11 of his 30 points on the power play
Weegar doesn't get much power play time, only 1 of his 29 points come on the power play
Better at even strength scoring, defensive play, pk, etc

Hmm, to be honest I didn't realize Weegar had that many points. I'm sorry. It seems like I always underestimate the panthers this year. They've really been flying under the radar. Weegar is a lot better than I thought.

In overall impact they are defiantly close. But I do agree Weegar is worth more than Rielly in a trade.
