IMO Toronto Maple Leafs 2021

Created by: MatthewsFan
Team: 2021-22 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 26, 2021
Published: Apr. 26, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Leafs protect 4fwds 4dmen

With the lack of Center depth I see Seattle selecting Kerfoot, Dermott is certainly a possibility but there will be a lot of better options for Seattle to select from on defence.

Hyman signs after expansion.

And if anyone is questioning a lack of scoring depth in the bottom six well:
Spezza - 24 points
Mikheyev - 16 points
Simmonds - 9 points
Engvall - 8 points
Brooks - 3 points
Can’t go anywhere but up.

Majority of points came from playing with JT, Willy, Matthews and Marner in the top 6.
Kerfoot - 20 points
Thornton - 14 points

So it’s not like the get a ton of scoring from the bottom six to begin with.

I would be very surprised if Dubas traded away a 3rd rounder and then not resign Rittich. Has he looked good so far, hell no, but he is a proven goalie and could pair nicely with Campbell. I just don’t see the Leafs committing money to another goalie while Campbell is signed for another year. Then maybe you make a run at Kuemper in 2022.

Galchenyuk sucks, he won't be in the lineup by next week I'd wager let alone resigned. His defensive mistakes cost us every game. A lot of the usual Leaf fans on this site still blame Rielly for that but it's clear as day. Vs the Jets over the past 2 weeks he's been the direct cause of 4 goals against.

Wouldn't it make more sense in this situation to pair Robertson up with some guys that can put up some points?

If they bring back Nash wouldn't it make sense to have him on a checking line? Especially considering Leafs were trying to create one for the majority of this season.

Nash isn't in the league to score.

Absolutely, lines are not set in stone. My wish would be Joey Anderson could get a spot on that 3rd line.
