Really? You think they’re going to go for more than that? I don’t think either of their respective teams can match those deals in a flat cap? What do you think the threshold for them is

I can't see either making less than $7.5m regardless of what team signs them. But both teams have quite a bit of cap space next season, so I don't see either team having any issues signing their player if that's what they want. If they want to go in another direction and allocate cap differently, then that's another story. However, I think the hole left by both players will be worse than any cap that they take up. Ultimately, I'd be very surprised if either becomes a true UFA.

I doubt we're trading that 2022 1st for anything short of a franchise #1C at this point. While we're hoping we can retool and bounce back as a team, the chances that we won't make that far, far too risky.
