I don't know why Red Wings want to get rid of Svechnikov, but if so, we should try something like this.
WARNING: Those who would say that Rask is a cap dump, yes he is, but the one on pace for 0.4 ppg and is still worth something without retention.

Minnesota could have acquired Svechnikov for nothing when he was placed on waivers. I don’t know why Blashill sour on Evgeny, but he is a non-tender candidate.

But it is even better with a cap dump. We need to consider the Rask situation during the offseason

You definitely do, but he's not the big problem. It's a shame for Minny that the Parise deal last year got nixed. that would have helped the team immensely. I feel DET would be looking for a higher pick instead of the 2 low ones.

I could give them a SJS 5th which is going to be higher)

I'm thinking it needs to be a 3rd or 4th. The contract for the production just doesn't work. And he's had quite a bit of opportunity in Minny

Then I would rather bury him. But I really wanna give a shot to Svechnikov.

I think he's getting a shot next year with Mantha and Ryan gone.

It'll be
Vrana Larkin Bertuzzi
Svech Rasmussin Zadina

Doubt it. I bet Yzerman will sign someone similar to Ryan to fill that role or someone that will sign low term low money who wants more minutes.

He's progressed a ton this year, but when we drafted him I was pretty disappointed to be honest. I really wanted Vilardi who went 11th (Ras went 9th). I think Vilardi is still the better choice, but Rasmussen has been showing some solid play this year. The past 2 years I was pretty worried about him, but now I'm getting happier with the pick.

I like him. They're bringing him along fairly slowly, protecting his minutes. He won't be a superstar, but he'll be a good middle 6 option that can go between the 2nd and 3rd line, depending who's on the team over the next couple years, and still has upside to turn into a full time top 6.

This will depend on how much all of his RFA's cost him. They may need a veteran at a high cap hit for a year to get to the floor.

Or they will most likely do another Marc Staal trade take on cap and get a pick like Loui Eriksson.

Joulevi and Eriksson for a 7th?? Sounds like a typical Stevey Y deal. Use your cap space to take on a cap hit and a reclamation project LOL
