What I think the new Seattle team could like

Created by: sensonfire
Team: 2021-22 Seattle Kraken
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 26, 2021
Published: Apr. 26, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This post builds off my previous ACGM posts from recently + the commentary from the CapFriendly community + predicting each team's protection list + the difficult cap situations of a small group of teams.

My goal here is to put together the most realistic offseason possible for Seattle's debut :D

Let me know your thoughts and I'll see you in the comments ;)

Yeah, I've been wondering about that.

It's a bit of a sticky situation for Seattle.

There are three or four centremen with the potential of going in the top 10 at the entry draft.

          Beniers, Eklund, Johnson and Raty.

In this post, I'm assuming Seattle gets shafted at the lottery and is left with the 5th overall pick.

Beniers might be off the board by the time Seattle picks at 5 and wants to go to U of Michigan.

Johnson also wants to go to U of Michigan while Raty has fallen off a cliff.

So, that leaves Seattle with Eklund, who can turn pro right away and could be available at 5th overall.

The only other option to get centre depth would be from free agency.

At the same time, I think Seattle should see what kind of a team they have before making a big splash.

At first glance, there are a few concerns to say the least frown

It looks better (especially down the middle)

If a team has Alex Kerfoot as their #1 centreman, that's probably a bad sign frown

I don’t mind having 2 ways centers in the top 6. The offense can come from the wingers.

Put Hall on his left and Saad on his right, and Kerfott would look ok on the first line.
