Except you’re wrong in every way. He played top 4 minutes tonight. He was out there to shut it down at the end. AND over the past 3 games before this one the pens have only had a lead for a total of 25 minutes...combined! So just face it. You’re wrong 😂

Yet he still ended up playing the least even strength and overall with Matheson being hurt 🥱 Might as well just drop it dude, you tried to hop on it after a period and he just ended up exactly where he's always been after a full 60 😂😂

Except you’re wrong in every way as usual. He ended up taking Matheson’s spot on the powerplay getting a minute and half of powerplay time. So of course that would effect his even strength time. Fun fact: he only lost his even strength advantage over Ceci due to having to play on the Tom Wilson penalty he had at least the 4th most even strength ice time the whole game up until the last 5 minutes. Even when Matheson was in, MP had more ice time than he did. And MP was one of the dmen out there to end the game and hold the fort. Weird they’d let the “number 5 or 6 dman” do that 🤔. I get it though. It’s a hard concept if you don’t understand hockey...or at least watch the pens and pick up on how Sully uses his defensemen in certain situations. I mean everybody that doesn’t jump on the pens need a whipping boy express, knows the pens are going to protect Letang, Dumo, and MP in expansion. Weird how they’d protect their number 6 dman over 2 “better” dmen 🤔

You say he almost had the 4th most even strength Ice time like that’s a good thing. Meanwhile there were only 5 defencemen playing the game... if he’s getting extra time on the power play that would put him even with everyone else you say gets special teams time over him, meaning there should be as even of a playing as you’re probably going to get. Yet he’s still last 🤔 Ceci didn’t have a partner and Sully still managed to give him more ice time even strength and overall than Pettersson.

If you think that’s how protection lists work then that’s all I need to know haha. Enjoy your day and your 5th defenceman (until Matheson gets back and bumps him down again).

Except you’re wrong in every way as usual. There were 6 defensemen playing in the game. Ceci did have a partner. I mean I watched the game and when Matheson got hurt with only a couple minutes left in the 2nd period, he still got rotated in with a partner. I understand you don’t actually watch the game and probably should try another sport so you wouldn’t know how hockey works. If he gets extra time on the powerplay, then that will obviously take from some of his even strength time. And just an FYI Ceci and Pettersson had almost the same amount of even strength time, while Letang, Dumo, and Marino had similar even strength time.
Yep, clearly you don’t understand how expansion works. I could tell you were new to hockey but must have just started watching this year. Ask anyone on this site. Teams can either protect 7 forwards, 3 defensemen, 1 goalie or 8 total skaters and 1 goalie. Everyone close to the team and covers the team even says the pens are going to protect Letang, Dumoulin, and Pettersson as the 3 defensemen. It doesn’t surprise me with how you lack hockey knowledge that you don’t understand the expansion draft rules. And I don’t know what Ceci has to do with this...however Pettersson got the 3rd most even strength minutes today. Weird how the supposed 6th defenseman jumped to 3rd with only 1 d injury. 🤷‍♂️
