Why are there so many picks? Like why are the Canes giving a 3rd for Seattle to take Bean?

I'd rather keep the 1st rather than dumping Lucic. Plus he knows he won't get selected so if we do this, this would be basically stabbing him in the back for waiving

How about Caleb Jones to take Zack Kassian, or 2021 first to take James Neal instead?

Also, Carolina isn’t paying you to take Jake Bean, and St Louis isn’t paying you to take Ivan Barbashev, etc... Elias Merzlikins is exempt, and Minnesota would probably rather let you take Jordan Greenway instead of letting you take Jonas Brodin.

that avs selection is not happening, Johnson is injured, hes not someone they will pay a 1st to trade way. Hes waiving his NMC bc of injury not bc he doest have a role or spot on the team

Plus Seattle isnt goign to play an injury riddled 33 year old Dman on their top pair nor would they waste their selected from the Avs to get him

no need to move lucic and assets. his contract is tough but hes got 20 points and plays his role great in the bottom 6. would be silly for the flames to give up a lottery pick to move him.

Oh for G-d's sake, folks. It's literally one click away on this very website. When you're in the "Interactive" menu and about to create an armchair GM, you can first click on "Seattle Expansion Draft Simulator" and learn important details about player availability. Like, for example, the fact that Merzlikins is exempt from the expansion draft.
