Finally, at long last, the Avs get a young two way defenseman with significant upside.

\whoosh

TBF, though, most of the Avs best defensemen are lefties (outside of Makar), so Barron almost certainly will have some sort of role in the future top-4.

dont sleep on Drew Helleson, he a righty who fits the avs mold of good skating puck movers but that guy brings a physical edge that other avs dmen dont bring

The Avengers are going back in time to prevent sakic from gathering the infinity stones ( aka all the accumulated draft picks and trade he's made since)

I really wish Drew Helleson was in the Sens system. Played with Sanderson at the World Juniors, and man were they good together. Could have made an excellent shutdown pair for Ottawa.

When Avs selected Helleson it was this is a safe pick, shut down guy, defensive Dman. But whatever happened last year the guy picked up his offensive game and his skating looked even better. Now its a conversation did the Avs really find something here?

Wish he was turning pro in the AHL but another year of being the man in NCAA would be good for him too
