Nice out of the box idea, but I don't think CBJ's willing to trade Werenski for nothing short but established 1C...nor do i see Coyle waiving his NMC.

He looks to be set in Boston for years to come.

Yeah that isn't close. If we are shopping Z its for a 1C, or it would have to be something like Carlo + Gryz ++++

Of course columbus turns that down.

Also don’t see how organizationally it makes sense for boston, despite being an awesome price for them. They make this big deal of developing all the LD just to sell the farm and block all of them. What happened to zboril? Did he retire?

That’s not getting Columbus to move Werenski, if he is moved it would be multiple 1sts or a top center prospect (with replacement LD (obviously lower) or an established 1st line player between 24-27 (preferably a center but could be a wing depending on the age, contract and player style).

I love the idea of Werenski. But i don’t see CBJ having any motivation to move him.
