I have not heard such great things about Raty lately. Maybe that means someone can get him as a steal, but even on McKenzie's show he also had a chunk of scouts say hes solidily a 2nd round pick to them.

I'm going to be really surprised if Seattle trades any of their picks, especially any higher than the 4th round. I also think Canes say no, but crazier things have happened.

Also, I keep seeing relatively substantial contracts for Borgström (higher than $1 mil). I know he's doing pretty well in Liiga right now, I'm just wondering if he's been THAT good, considering only last year he was a failing prospect.

Jarvis for Kubalik is a bad move IMO. He's played at a ppg rate in the AHL but we already have a proven goal scorer in the NHL.

I'm okay taking a chance on Raty but would draft Lambos and Sovzil both at LHD. Or better yet, take two of those picks and trade up to grab Evidsson around the #5 or #6 spots.

I like Kubalik, a lot, but I think trading him for Seth Jarvis makes sense for both teams and their timelines. I'm not an expert on the draft this year, but in this scenario I would love getting a LD, RD, and C from the three picks.

not really an RD that I like outside of Clarke that would go in the 1st. If we are in top 10, probably take a winger or center first (I'm quite partial to Lucius and Johnson). Top 5 take 1 of Hughes Clarke or Power. Top 15 take Lambos (hopefully). Rest of the draft depends on who we get with the 1st pick realistically. An ideal haul for me would be Hughes and if we can move up again into the 1st I'd like to snag Robertsson or Chibrikov in the later 1st. If we don't get the D we want with the 1st pick, I'd trade back a bit for Lambos and then reclaim some more assets.

You are only addressing half of the trade.

Sovzil is arguably a better prospect then Lambos and regularly overlooked. Also would take Evidsson if outside of the top 3 as he is a big stay at home defender with 1st line potential and that is exactly what we need to pair with guys like Boqvist or Mitchell.

I actually did forget about Svozil. He's definitely a guy I would consider too in that Lambos range but I dont think I would take either of them higher than 12th or so, which then goes back to the trade back solution if we land in that later end of the top 10 range. Edvinsson has been interesting to me. I've seen him ranked all over the board, with some people ranking him in the 20s, and I personally haven't watched him a whole lot. If Stan and Kelley evaluate him as a top end talent, I won't argue, but if they decide he's not high on their board, I also won't be mad.

Surley you don't think Conner Murphay is worth a top 10 pick?

No, now you are only addressing the other half of the trade! Just to be safe I'll go ahead and break this down further...

I consider Connor Murphy to be worth a first, perhaps even more with an extension... but I'll leave that out of an already complicated equation. Let's say that he is worth a pick in the 17-23 range, without an extension. If you add in the cost I think it should be to dump Eriksson (which IMO is 2 2nd round picks), theoretically, that should be in the ballpark of the value for a pick outside of the top ten. For argument's sake, let's say that that Beagle retires and his 3 mil cap hit vanishes (not how it works, but details), the value is still decent to get that first-round pick especially with the hawks adding in a pick next year for good measure. By points percentage you guys are 12th worst in the league, so assuming the pick is 12th overall you guys are giving up that pick for cap space (6-9 million), A partner for Quinn Hughes, and a pick in next years draft.
