Dumba has a NTC im not sure he waives for buffalo. I would think long and hard about that trade if he did waive though. Id also rather pay Ullmark then risk Driedger turning into Hutton 2.0

Dumba's NTC doesn't kick in until the new league year starts, so in theory the trade could happen before then. I just don't see Minnesota wanting to do this since they'll need cap space to extend Kaprizov long term and Reinhart will likely want more than the money they're sending out in Dumba. They also need to find a 1C and no, Rossi isn't a 1C. He hasn't even played a single NHL game, so they're not going to bank on him being it just yet. They'll also likely want some production out of Boldy on his ELC to help their depth.

If I'm Minny, I'm 100% keeping Dumba and Boldy over Reinhart.

Minnesota likely loses Dumba to Seattle so this gets them a high quality asset as opposed to nothing

This is so blatantly wrong. Minnesota can do 4 & 4

Minnesota doesn't need another winger at all. So no you are joking if you think Minnesota is trading dumba, & boldy for a winger

Sam R isn't a c

Minnesota can do 4 & 4

8-1: Parise, Zucs, Fiala, JEE, Dumba, Suter, Brodin, Spurgeon. Leaves Hartman, Foligno, Rask, Greenway, and Kahkonen to choose from, none of who are as valuable as Dumba.

Then they are exposing Greenway and foligno. Sure not the end of the world but also not ideal for a team that lacks depth up front. Reinhart has been playing fantastic as center. He is not a true # 1 but he is a very solid 2C

Dude Reinhart isn't a c, & plays wing.

Wild have matt boldy to replace greenway

Parise will waive to protect foligno

So either way you are wrong

Wild aren't trading dumba, & especially add in boldy for reinhart whose not better than kaprizov or fiala.

Boldy will replace greenway easily

Uh he has been playing center since Eichel has been out. Not sure if you have been following him but he's been scoring like the dickens. Clearly he can play center and play well. Buffalo easily declines trading a top 6 forward for a highly overrated RHD who doesn't know what defending is and Boldy

Good because Minnesota says easily no. Buffalo can pay him this off-season

A half a Season or less of playing a position of c doesn't make him a c because for the longest time he wasn't

He is a natural center he played it his whole life until halfway through his rookie season when they put him on wing because they had Eichel and Oreilly as the 1-2 combat and they wanted Sam in the top 6. After that they kept him on the wing. He has now been playing the best Hockey of his career since being switched back to his natural position

He played center for his whole life until he joined the Sabres... He has played more years at center than at RW
