I don't do that for the Rangers. Rielly doesn't really fit with the vision of the team moving forward imo

That's a move you make at the end of your competitive window, not the beginning.

Not giving up major assets for a Defensive rental on a team chock full of exciting, young Defensemen.

To be fair, the only "major" asset that I see the Rangers giving up there is the 2022 1st. But yes, I agree, Rielly isn't the right move for the Rangers.

True, but that's supposed to be a deep Draft. Even if they improve to the point where it's towards the end of the 1st, I still wouldn't want to give it up.

The 1st coming back is nice, but nothing else is too appealing, I'd hope for better if moving Rielly.

Also, Rangers don't need Rielly, so doesn't work for them either.

Sandin plays well in 2 game and now everyone wants to trade Mo, kind of ridiculous.

Some of it is ridiculous. I don't really want Mo traded, but the thought of paying a 29 yo offensive dman $7M+ for 7 years or so (his decline years) has me a bit nervous.

I find the ones wanting to drive him out of town for a fanned shot ridiculous, but the posters that wonder if re-signing him to big $$ and term is the best choice is perfectly fine with me.

You are aware that Gauthier has been a healthy scratch for the NYR for like ten games in a row. Sure would like to have you as my agent to get that offer.

Well of course, how else are you supposed to fit Brett Howden into the lineup?
