He seems to have fallen out of favour with the team. a fresh start might be best for him.

The forwards that were protected were:
Bergeron
Marchand
Pasta
Coyle
Smith
Kase
Frederic

What would you change?

Not protecting Kase over DeBrusk would be a good start.

Alright, couple things here. First, yes, debrusk is having a down year. Do you think there’s a single GM in the national hockey league that’s going to make such harsh judgment on a young player in this weird pandemic season without a pre-season schedule and a short off season etc? Especially if that young player is barely a year removed from a 27 goal in 68 game season? If there is, that GM will be looking for work very soon, and it won’t be in the NHL. Ludicrous premise.

There’s a 0% chance the bruins protect Kase over debrusk.

I would protect Kase but it's unlikely considering he's missed 46/48 games so far and I would definitely protect DeBrusk over Frederic. DeBrusk is struggling but he's been a middle-six player for 3 straight years before the current season, his trade value is low right now but I would still trade him and get something in return/protect him over Frederic/Ritchie instead of losing him for nothing.

I know you would do that, but will the Bruins do that? They seem to love Frederic

Frederic over Kase, Ritchie, it's likely. Over DeBrusk, I doubt. At least I hope they aren't that dumb

It's time to forget that 17-18 season. He's never been healthy in his career and it seems like it gets worse every year

There is literally no way on God's Good Earth that the Sharks protect Jones over Kořenář. Like, it's more likely that they win the Stanley Cup this year.
