Not even close for Lindholm, And Danault turned down more to stay in Montreal. He's not taking less from Chicago.

So why are we giving up Nylander for Seattle to take the guy they are already best off taking?

2 2nds and a good foward with a lot of potential for an upcoming ufa and considering Lindholm has been struggling with injuries for the past two seasons seems fair. Danault is having a down year and considering the flat cap economy, he'd be lucky if a team offered him what Montreal offered him in the beginning of the season so I don't think he gets more than 4.5 million.

I'm willing to bet a fair amount of money Lindholm leaves Anaheim next offseason if they don't move him. Unless he's so enamored with living in Orange County, not sure why he'd stay there. The Ducks, being in a rebuild themselves, would benefit from moving him. It's going to cost a first and good B+ young player or prospect or a really good young player or prospect A- plus a 2nd or 3rd. The hope is that the acquiring team can sign him to an extension. However, Ducks fans who've watched the past 2 trade deadlines in flat caps with limited team revenues need to understand he's not going to get more then that for a rental.

Chicago fans should stop trading a mid tier prospect and nothing picks for a legit top pairing Dman.

Oilers decline, with the cap space in the offseason and McLeods maturation they have no need to spill a first round pick & decent prospect for a career underachiever, simply because he’s friends with Connor

Early 2nd round pick is not a nothing pick. Not sure who the prospect is but guys like Suter, Kurashev, Nylander, Vlasic aren't mid tier prospects. Bottom line, Ducks aren't pulling in a massive hull for 1 year of Lindholm beyond what I mentioned above and it is unlikely IMO that Lindholm stays in Anaheim....no real reason to besides wanting to living Orange County. Many reasons why he would leave though.

Kurashev is a mid tier prospect at best. Pre season wasn’t even a top 5 prospect in a rather poor CHI prospect pool and hasn’t shown a lot in the NHL.

Is pick 45 really that good of a pick in a poor draft more than a nothing pick? You can come up with all the excuses you want but 1 yr off a top pair Dman is still worth a lot more than what’s offered here

Edit: I lied. It’s a 22 2nd with conditions and 23 2nd. But still not a great package.

Edmonton's not gonna wanna do that, it doesn't make sense. Strome is nothing more than a solid 3C that can play 2C for a small amount of time but not a legit 2C. That alone isn't worth a B prospect and a 1st. If you're calling Turris a cap dump to improve the value then you're insane. He has 1 season left at a $1.65M cap hit that if they really wanted him gone that much, they can bury $1.075M of that in the minors next season. It's certainly not worth this over pay just to bring in one of McDavid's junior teammates
