Yeah exactly.
Even in 2020 it was a major stretch to say he was a «pRoDuCt Of PaNaRiN», since he had a 0,5PPG in 18-19 on an awful team playing with non-elite players.
But now, he's almost a PPG player, played a relatively big part of the season without Panarin and even when he didn't he was really good, can kill penalties, he really is an underrated player

Reminder: Dylan Strome doesn't have Panarin on his line

Ryan Strome is a solid player but I highly doubt he has the same production on another team. He's starting to get overvalued

Yes, he had .5 PPG in 18-19 for NYR on a team that finished with 78 points. Robby Fabbri, has paced around 50 pts the two years he’s been with Detroit and one of those teams was on pace for 45 points.

Strome w Panarin: 602 Min

Strome (Ryan) is the kind of player that gets you in trouble as a gm. Is he good, yeah, is he a difference maker no, if you over pay you end up regretting.

This is why I think they let him go next year. Long term cap doesn’t work out well. Plus I’m hoping next year Chytil is able to step up and take the 2nd line center role. It might be wishful thinking but I hope so.

This is the right thinking. Strome will be 28 at the start of next season Chytil 22. Strome just isn’t a play driver basically a shot neutral guy for his career who produces when paired with top notch players give Chytil more ice time and see if he grows more.
