Maybe the worst Reinhart trade I've ever seen. He shows over an extended period of time that he can produce away from eichel and play center and you give him away for a 4th line plug, a non 1st round pick and troy terry who has 45 career points. Reinhart had 43 points as a rookie.

No way Risto returns a 1st. Toews got 2 2nds and Schmidt got a third. I know that they were cap casualties but they are significantly better than Risto. I wouldn’t mind having him but not at the cost of a first.

If Winnipeg signs Jake McCabe and Plays him with Risto they would have one of the best defensive pairings in the league. With the right partner Ristolainen plays exceptionally well. If Buffalo intends to keep McCabe then it is worth keeping Risto around.

Its an embarrassing trade for a guy who puts up 62 points per 82 his last 3 years and 52 points per 82 for his career. and has shown well as a center.
