Canes pass hard. Actually none of these trades make any sense for the other team. The ducks lose the trade where they get 2 first and a second along with 2 bodies, but those first that they got will be low first rounders, while they are giving up a high first rounder.

So do the Wings they aren't trading Petruzzelli for a bottom 6 forward and a 5th rd pick in a draft that is 3 years away.

So we trade Bergeron and sign Kyrou on a 9 mil offersheet?

Thanks for reminding me to log off this website and go outside

That ANA 1st round pick will be top 3.

Ottawa one is fine - though Boston only does that because of the ridiculous cap situation the other trades and especially the offer sheet create.
Edmonton one could probably be argued depending on how one sees Vladar.

Kyrou has similar career stats as Nick Ritchie and is only a few years younger so... giving him almost 40 Million more dollars is uh... quite something 😐

This is 8 different ways of weird, and I’m not going to comment on the thing as a whole or any of the trades. All I’ll say is that Bergeron might hit the decline next year. That’s uncertain. What is certain is that if you downgrade from Bergeron to Hertl at 1C, the team isn’t competing for a cup.

It's honestly one of the most fascinating trade proposals I've ever seen on here and should at very least be appreciated for being unique & creative

One top 5 pick in a mediocre draft

    <->

Three ~25th overall picks, a 50th overall, an AHLer

    Quality or quantity? Hm. 🤔

I went to argue that point but apparently Bergeron is *still* putting up his usual elite possession numbers this year because of course he is

    😕

    Hertl underrated tho

No he isnt. And guess what Bergeron is also doing? He’s playing well! (I don’t care about possession numbers, you don’t have to tell me about them)

Wtf is that wild trade. Its the exact opposite of what the wild are doing. Maybe they’d make that trade for barkov, or Bergeron 10 years ago. But 35 year old Bergeron.... just wow

Apparently the person who decides if Hertl is underrated or not has spoken ⚖

Better get used to it as it's only going to get more and more common in future

I still remember campaigning for analytics in 2015 until I was blue in the face

Now they're like 5x as common in the hockey world and the progression has been steady

One of many reasons Hertl is underrated is (oh no more darned analytics!) is that he's in the 94th percentile in shot assists: perfect fit to center Pasta

Ya i don’t care. Don’t tell me. If i want your “opinion,” I’m sure i can find a website. I’m here to see others opinions etc. you don’t have any, so i don’t care.

Probably should just delete this and start over. Every trade is lopsided one way or the other and the UFA signings don’t work. Rask not getting 4 years. Hall and DK not signing those deals. Not signing Bogosian, Kuilikov, Bjugstad. And WTF is that Kyrou contract?

Zero chance the Oilers trade a young top 4 RD for spare parts that they have no need for.

Oilers have no reason to be interested in those players. A Bear for Debrusk deal makes more sense for both sides.

I somewhat understand the thinking when it comes to the Slavin trade but the value is way off
