Maybe Drouin should leave, but the only return Montreal will get in return in a similar contract from a meh player. Certainly Wings aren't trading Bertuzzi.
I kinda disagree with your signings. If the Habs get knocked out the first round, they need a change of personnel. Move away from signing your own UFAs.

The way Montreal phrased the message announcing Drouin's leave of absence most likely means he didn't make this decision alone and he has the full support of the organization. I wish him my best and I hope he is back on the ice in Montreal soon. I don't see Montreal trading him at least not until he comes back to the team.

COME ON GUYS DROUIN TO DETROIT WILL NEVER HAPPEN AS LONG AS YZERMAN IS THE GM IN DETROIT AND I'M SURE DROUIN FEELS THE SAME WAY.

Before all the Hab fan's come out of the wood work calling out Wings fan's as dumb or arrogant, Yzerman and Drouin have a sorted history and that kills any trade where Wings and Drouin are involved.

No point in even commenting on the trade.
