I like that you kept it simple but not sure why nuge deserves such a raise while larsson has been doing his job better than nuge has been doing his but Larsson has his wage slashed dramatically. I’d say it’s fair to take a small cut to nuge and extend larsson on his current deal.

Larsson and Coleman get more. Neal buyout is pointless when you have 8M cap space, just send him to the AHL.

Don't see many Edm games. By the stats on this site Jones plays fewer minutes than Lagesson when he plays. Is there a difference between the 2?? I see Seattle going for Benson or Marody, especially if Marody can play center, over a 13-14 minute dman....

Lagesson kills penalties, Jones has mainly been kept to 5v5 as he is decent at most things, but not great at either defensive or offensive special teams. Thus why Lagg's plays more minutes per game.

Benson and Marody are both doing really well, so if Seattle likes one of them specifically sure. But neither is clearly an NHLer yet, and both are smallish and not speedy, so not sure bets. Lagg's and Jones can definitely handle consistent 3rd pairing duties now, there's just a logjam with other LD's on the roster who are more experienced (Kulikov, Russell and Koekkoek) but not necessarily better players. Would be surprised to see a GM take older AHL prospects than one of these Dmen, but will be happy if they do! Edmonton has larger, more versatile young fwds than Benson or Marody coming up in McLeod, Holloway and Lavoie.

He's the best available Centre UFA available if he walks, a team will pay him over 6M easily. That is a competitive offer. Larsson you are probably right, how much do you think he should make?

Don't think Oilers expose Benson, they can afford to expose Kassian without threat of his contract being picked up, Jones does have top 4 potential but there is a log jam with Nurse, Klefbom, Broberg and Samorukov. Seattle would be fine with taking either, Marody has been good in the AHL but hasn't got much NHL looks.

Maybe 3.5-3.75M he is solid middle 6 guy currently. Lowry/Pearson just signed 3.25M, Laughton for 3M and the high end Iafallo 4M. Pretty sure he is better then the first 3 players so should get slightly more

Larsson id offer extending his current deal as is that should be seen as good as a raise given current finical state league is in. Nuge shouldn’t be seen as a centre and if anyone is willing to pay him as one then so be it best of luck will miss him. 6 million off the books can get more than 2 or 3 assist 5-5 I honestly don’t think he has a single assist the entire season while on mcdavids wing 5-5 the only assists I can recall are one against the leafs during that horrible 3 game set but he was briefly put back with Leon for it and I think he got one against the jets recently again on Leon’s line. I might be mistaken but it’s been very few and far between.
