Monahan is such a bad target for cbj and I don't think he would thrive with laine. Both are lazy, bad defensive players whose strongest suit is being fed pucks to score

No to that Merzlikins trade. We have better ways of handling the RD situation.

This is really one stop forward (Monahan trade) one step back (Merzlinkins trade), and I wouldn’t classify them as even steps. It would be hard to consider this team better with far worse goaltending and no real number one goalie.
