I agree but from the opposite perspective. Buffalo wouldn't do that. Reinhart is one of the few bright spots in Buffalo's forward group.

You realize Reinhart would be leading the Flames by a 6 goal margin if he was on the team right? The flames would be screaming yes the second Sam's name came across the phone.

Goals aren't the only thing that matters though. Hanifin has been one of our best dman this season IMO and would take quite a bit to get traded

What a dumb comparison in a trade for a D man.. Reinhart would be leading the Lightning in goals so they have to give Buffalo Hedman, it only makes sense right?

Check this out before you call this a great trade:
Games goals assists pts 436 32 121 153 0.35 pts/gm
Games goals assists pts 290 31 77 108 0.37 pts/gm
Who is the better defenseman, top or bottom?
Hanifin v Montour
Buffalo does not need a LHD, Buffalo needs a top line RW.
Regardless of who is better, this is a VERY bad deal for Buffalo.

Hahaha sure, I mean I guess if you want to use points for a D man as the building block to your argument you can choose the path of ridiculous, that's your call though.

I guess you missed my last two lines, go back and read them.
But if you must continue the food fight.
Career:
+/- +13 v - 39
Hits 328 (1.13/gm) v 402 (0.92/gm)
BLK 341 (1.18/gm) v 432 (0.99/gm)
You tell me who is first Hanifin or Montour?
Then tell me what other stats you would use to compare
Regardless, it is a bad trade for Buffalo.

Read your last two lines perfectly fine.. they don't change what I said whatsoever, at no point did I say it was good for Buffalo, don't make up arguments to argue with yourself. Hanifin is miles and miles better than Montour is, it's not close, you used points to compare D men which is hilarious to start with and then hit em with the +/- to top it off.

Career 5 on 5 possession metrics, even just over the last two years the possession favours Hanifin, look at the possession quality over the last couple years and their careers, it's not close. Hanifin has also been playing against one of McDavid or Draisatl for a fifth of his season this year, that effects things. You've provided the bare minimum and want to base an argument on that.. it's not working out for you.

Great, this whole season Buffalo has been in the hardest conference Boston, Pittsburgh, Washington, New York, New York, Philadelphia yet Montour out performed Hanifin.
I offered you four stats that are used to gage a player performance and Montour is better in all, but you persist.
Possession stats are nice, but who hits, blocks, scores and in on the ice for goals are the tasting of the pudding.

Hahaha you can just say you don’t understand and that’s okay! You ask 7 billion people and 6,999,999,998 say Hanifin is better, I say two because you exist and Brandon Montour’s grandmother. The NFL draft is on, Kentucky Derby, F1 race and Blue Jays. I’ll get to you Monday when hockey is relevant again, in the meantime do a little work and be better.
