boston 2022 shot at the cup

Created by: meno9305
Team: 2021-22 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 29, 2021
Published: Apr. 30, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Hall would likely resigns for less than Pasta, marchand and bergeron. They have a great team mentality in Boston and if he liked it with Boston, he will take less money for a chance to compete for a cup

I think the signing of Driedger would make sense, after Tuuka he would be the starting goalie for Boston. They would play like 30-40 games each. I know Swayman is suppose to be the next big one, but idk, i would see Driedger with them.

Can’t see Dallas doing that.

Why are they signing two FA goalies and not playing Swayman?

Vladar is supposed to be the “next big one?”
Are you thinking Swayman?

With the injuries Dallas has this year and they are still competing for a playoff spot they will probably keep their good players and try to make another run next year.

Signing both Rask and Driedger for nearly $11M is not very efficient. Bring back Rask and let Swayman or Vladar battle it out for the backup spot. Not enough years or cash for Carlo. Reilly deal isn't bad. That trade doesn't make much sense for either side.

I think dallas takes it for sure. Sure rad is awesome but hes 34 and hurt a bunch. I can't see hall taking a discount on his contract. Boston will have to kick in more. Dreidger has been good but its swayman and rask next season. If rask retires or leaves I think they sign a vet since swayman is so inexperienced. I think the playoffs will decide what this team does. If they make some noise then maybe they bring krecji and rask and everyone back if they get bounced they may turn the page on those guys.

I take that all day long for Rads. Is Brusk really having THAT bad of a year? And what’s going on with Stud? Everybody was super hyped about him at the beginning of the year...

Some biiiig issues here.
First, the carlo deal: he needs a raise, and a pretty hefty one. Two years walks him directly to UFA without buying out any UFA years, so no chance thats the term. Think more like 6x4.5-5.
Bruins aren’t trading studnicka, and definitely not for a declining 35 year old. No chance they have any interest in radulov.

Adding a goalie in UFA at that price makes no sense when swayman has looked really good. He should be backing up tuukka next year.

No duh. It’s a terrible trade for boston. I don’t think they would give up debrusk or studnicka straight up for radulov given his age.

Studnicka got hurt and it seemed like given the timing they wanted him to get some time in providence. He was solid in his time in boston. Flashes of what the hype was about, but lacked consistency
