Roster Overhaul

Description
I know this won't happen but I am running a scenario where MTL tries to change their roster for the better at the expense of young guns and leadership.

I don't see KK being a bonified top line center even though I really like him as a player. Philly needs leadership and are out of contention for the playoffs so I imagine they too will do an overhaul. Pilly also wants to find a RD for Provorov. Weber fits both needs and MTL trades picks for taking that contract despite only having Giroux for 1 year for sure. Drouin simply needs a change of scenario where he can strive with a different team...

I think Caufield makes the team and Poehling as well but as winger. He is tearing it up in the AHL playing wing. Look for him to jump for opportunities up and down in the lineup.

0% chance that Vancouver does this deal. Miller and Beagle are slotted in at center right now.

Werenski only goes for a legit #1C. KK is not that yet and may never be.

But when EP comes back Miller will play the wing. Also, I thought Beagle was hardly playing when the team is healthy. Regardless, VAN could do better with him off the books and look for UFAs to improve their team

That’s a no from Columbus. Werenski would cost more than just a 2nd line center, and by your description that’s what you’re calling him.

You probably could sell Weber to the Flyers, but not for G. That's just totally untenable. If the Flyers are selling G, it's for futures because they must be blowing it up totally in that scenario.

I could see this as a base for a cbj trade if we decide to tear down, but you'd be adding

I think the Habs are old enough and don't need another old declining winger in Giroux. Weber will retire in the next 3 years anyway.
