Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
To increase your chances of playing for Team Cap Dump, you need to meet the following criteria:


1. Be a grossly overpaid hockey player

2. Have a bad contract with at least one more year left on it and a cap hit of at least 5 million.

3. Be a whipping boy for your team's fanbase.

4. Be either a bad player or someone whose best days as an NHL player are long gone.



And that's pretty much it!

Of the players you listed in your first comment, I believe Johnson absolutely belongs on this list, 100%.


He was placed on waivers twice within the last year by Tampa, he has been relegated to fourth-line minutes, and he is not the same player he once was.

Unexpected flat cap. His contract is an issue for tampa, i think if the cap wasn’t flat a lot of teams would be happy to have his deal. He’s a good player.
