first of all Luke Hughes wont be near NHL ready next year, and hes an LD not an RD and just pay less for Quinn Hughes, if you offer 10 or 11 mil they wont be able to match and keep Petey

Not to mention that i signed grubauer

If i didnt take Grubauer I could've given Petersson an OS as well

He’s a LHD but has actually played a decent amount of RD this season.

Because they already have Smith and Butcher. I think they'd do better with someone more defensive minded for the left side.

Is there a reason because I've seen many people say it but I don't understand it?

Basically, Quinn hasn't accrued the acceptable amount of seasons to be eligible for an offer sheet. He only has two and you need three to be eligible when signing between 18 and 21.

      CapFriendly outlines it here.

No you are so wrong you are the mayor of Wrongville. Hughes has never been eligible or met any requirements because he is a 10.2(c) RFA. Please educate yourself before making such idiotic statements.
