Both 2022 & 2023 have great top end talent and a next tier of talent. The odds that Vancouver will be bad enough to even get a decent shot at them is minimal though.

Sites like these prefer magic beans over known quality. They don’t rationally think about the odds of landing in there due to the lottery. Oddly enough though Vancouver has faced its fair share of dropping in the draft so you’d think that fan base would understand the odds. You can even lottery protect or top 3/5/10/etc. so the issue can easily be mitigated. Vancouver could finish dead last next year and chances are they’d draft 3 OVR which is a big if considering you have an expansion team and multiple other basement teams (Detroit, NJ, Ottawa, etc) to lose out too. Very few on this site, have a valid comparable trade in their ACGM and when you question them about it there’s no logic except fleecing in mind.
