If I'm an interested GM, I'd make a better offer than that. IMHO.

But are you an interested GM working for a team he'll waive his NTC for?

Trouble is, there isn't an a piece coming back to the Leafs that says, "I can help now" or even a piece that says "I can play in the NHL at any time."

Because the mid-rebuild Leafs are in a "win now" mode. Kero is currently in the NHL so idk what you're saying also. Pokka is the Hawks top prospect behind only Schmaltz. And I know, you're going to say "If Pokka was good he'd be playing in the NHL now. Or last year." Except last year he was a 21 year old with 1 NA season under his belt and the Hawks wanted him to develop with big playing time in the AHL. This year he's been behind a very deep defense.

Pokka is also likely not on the Hawks because if he played more than 40 nhl games this year then he would be prone to the expansion draft, therefore I have to agree with your take. Now the team is doing fine so they are likely just going to keep him down in the A until next season
