Wonder who Adam fox would play for after next season.

Also don’t think that team gets close to contending for a cup.

    They have 4 elite players

    Four.

Surrounded by a lot of quality players

With a few young talents likely to blossom

How on earth would they not contend

There's zero chance of either Dougie Hamilton and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins take one year deals, And Filppu;a said he's retiring a Red Wing this is his final year he plans on retiring once the season is over. And Pekka Rinne will only play for Nashville he plans on retiring as a Pred.

The calgary trade is so damn cool it makes Dougie only getting 500k more than RNH all the more jarring I mean Dougie may well win the Norris this season

RNH won't even get consideration for the Hart

    Naturally

Dougie has more points despite the positional difference and way less offensive talent to play with... it's easily arguable Dougie should get 2x the $

Anyhow cheers again on the nifty calgary trade 🍻

Similat to how Chara, Lundqvist, Thornton all chose to retire with their legacy teams? Preds have Ingram and Askarov entering the picture. Crowded crease 😬

Pekks has been AHL level last 2 seasons also

I think these guys always want to retire like that

    But it's always tricky though

Not sure why it would be stated as fact

NYR have a +33 goal differential this season

Arguable they're a contender now given division

The metro showed it was historically good in 19-20

This AGM adds to that much more than it subtracts

Another way to argue against a very odd point ^

Take away the butt whooping they gave the Flyers in 2 games and that goal differential drops quite a bit, but if they are in any other division they make the playoffs probably.

Brett Howden has 7 points in 42 games, we have Quinton Byfield, Alex Turcotte, Gabe Vilardi amd Jaret Anderson-Dolan at center right now with Tyler Madden and Akil Thomas in the pipeline, and we're going to pay a third for Brett Howden?!?!?!?

Thanks for the cheers on the Calgary/Ottawa trade. It was definitely some mastermind work. As for why I’m paying RNH and Hamilton so much, it’s so they can come over to one of the best built rosters in the cap era. Tell me they wouldn’t mind going for a one year cup run in NY. After that, they can sign with whoever they want for as much money (bc there’s no way they play worse on this team) OR they can re-sign. I was just worried about a multi-year deal seeing how Zibanejad, Strome, Fox, Kaako and others are on expiring deals. So yeah, pretty much the low-down as to why this deal happened

Most teams have handed out a “butt whooping” or 2 to pad their stats. Not sure why we want to discount the Rangers games and not others. Now, if your team won 7-1 would you say the same thing? Or take it as giving a butt whooping while other teams couldn’t do the same in the season?

    This CANCEL CULTURE is classic..

Take out 2 but whipping my favorite team did and they still are in the goal differential of +mid 30’s. And what an asinine statement cancel culture when I’m looking at it from a statistical point of view, and I would 100% discount outlying events like 7+ goal performances. But you roll with cancel culture 🤦🏻‍♂️

Ah yes, so an actual contender who is multiple years into their window and in a weak division vs a rebuilding team in the toughest division. +35 vs +15. You clearly know what you’re talking about smh

Thanks I appreciate that my guy 😉. Enjoy the playoffs. But for the record my favorite team’s window just opened realistically last year and is one of the youngest teams in the NHL. But if you want to be but hurt about me pointing out a 9-0 win in the goal differential and not bag on having 2 of the 3 worst teams in the league in the division or that their goal differential against those teams is +24 I don’t know what to tell you. But in all seriousness they have a very bright future.
