Additional Details:
Thought of this trade when thinking about solutions to MIN's expansion draft problem. Trading Dumba would leave Soucy as their best exposed defenseman, and allow them to protect Nelson/Parise/Zuccarello/Fiala/JEE/Greenway/Foligno at forward
The Isles upgrade their second pairing with a great offensive d-man, and can play Pageau on the 2nd line to cover nelson's absence
Both players have the same cap hit, so money isn't an issue, and nelson would most likely waive his clause to play in the state he was born in

I mean Barzal works in that system, and Dumba isn't too different than Leddy, just a better version

Yeah should be fine honestly I'm just working through my Trotz PTSD from the preds era though with Dumba being more adventurous than Ledds it may be tricky

It doesn't make sense for the isles - next season pulock and dobson will be the 2 RHD. I think the wild are better off trading dumba for picks or a center prospect with top 6 potential.

Hell no. Im not moving nelson for overrated dumba to stifle dobson. On the other hand trotz might have a heart attack if we do and then he cant make such dumb line combos so maybe...

I looooove this trade, which probably means the Wild need to add some juice like a 3rd or a 4th from our side.

Your contacts are off though. The money for Fiala and JEEK is probably right, but KK97 will be closer to 8.5 and 8 years. There's no way we sign KK97 to a 2 year deal. The JEEK term is maybe a bit long, but I wouldn't mind it if we can get it. The guy is a beast.
