Probably not, jost is younger and cheaper and has become a 3c for them

I think they protect nuke over donskoi to ensure they lose a 3m salary

Avs won’t trade someone for draft picks in fear of losing them for nothing

We have gone over this, they are losing someone good no matter what, so losing a guy in the draft and trading a guy for draft picks only hurts their roster,

If you want nuke after the draft, a hockey trade can be had. Not these middling draft pick deals

Having a rational conversations, and you not believing me then going out of your way to create a roster In an attempt to disprove me but actually proved my point was having a melt down?

Might want it look in the mirror on that one

The roster I created was over the cap and had a ton of minor leaguers (in addition to good prospects) like half the team was making 900k or less. And that was accounting for your rosy contracts for rfas and ufas

It was over by a few 100k and I told you that Avs carry 22 man rosters not 23 bc they use the eagles down the road for call ups that easily that they dont need to always have a 23 man roster. Also mentioned that there are still unknown about the severity of Erik Johnson and Francouz injuries, there is no indications yet they they will be healthy to start next year and very much could be LTIR candidates at this rate, their injuries are just unknowns

plus I asked you the rebuttal of what if the values arent as high as mentioned due to a flat cap and pandemic holding over the league ro the next 3 years, no response

Now who is having the meltdown already going on the offensive accepting with passive aggressive comments. And before you start going overboard with you assuming im saying Donskoi or Nichushkin are untoubale nonsense, After the draft come with. hockey trades for their players, they can easily be moved for additional cap relief. But in this case a 3rd round pick does 0 for the Avs cup window as they can not replace Nuke in UFA or internally for less than his current cap hit is

Let’s try something different here than the “lose a guy for nothing trade scenarios”. Every team outside of VGK has to lose ONE player. If there is one thing the league learned in the expansion draft is that making bad trades to prevent the loss of a player is a significantly worse decision than just accepting the loss of a single player. COL won’t be making any trades BEFORE the XD that are discounted trades. Nichushkin is a suppression monster on a good contract, the last thing COL is going to do is trade him for picks in a draft that they have actively been shipping them out. Somewhere this whole trade guys for a discount or lose them for free gained traction when it is one of the worst approaches ANY gm could take.

Well I’m part of no one and I completely agree with @coga16. Making bad trades out of fear is a good way for a GM to eventually get fired. Look at those guys making awful XD trades in FLA and MIN, they gone.

There’s no reason to give away Miller for throwaway draft picks. You sell him to Seattle with a draft pick if necessary to ensure they don’t take someone else you actually would rather keep. Thompson started to play better in the last month and while I would not hate losing him, I would rather hang onto him and lose Miller.

I like the Khudobin pick up, and the idea of bringing in Nolan Patrick, but I don’t think I would give up Girgensons to do it. The organization gave him a three-year contract because they see him as a key piece of the core. I don’t think they’ve changed their mind in one season just because he got injured and didn’t get to play. Mittelstadt has finally started to thrive as a third line center, I would try Patrick as a right wing in the top six if we can bring him in. Particularly if they are marrying themselves to the idea that Reinhart is also a Center now, Cozens would also be a RW.

I prefer cozens at center and mittelstadts emergence started while he was still on the wing.
