Description
I’m not sure where the money for that top line RW should go, as there aren’t really any good options in free agency. But if we were able to sign someone, that’s why I have allocated the money as is. I can’t wait to hear how bad all the trades are 😉

I like Mangiapane more than most, but that Flyers trade isn’t close.

For which side? Thats like a top 10 pick + Mange. Flames would be idiots to do that

Why would COL trade for Giordano when they have one of the best, youngest and deepest d-Corp in the league? In the off season what they will be looking for is depth scoring up front not for an aging 3rd pairing d. Though the value in the proposed trade isn’t bad it’s just a poor fit.

that Avs trade makes 0 logical sense, he has 0 fit on the blue line and in no way are the avs giving up a 1st rounder for a guy who would be playing on their 3rd pairing and who is a shell of themselves.

Avs are pretty stacked on LD, but if Graves goes to SEA and one of Girard/Toews/Byram/Gio move to RD full time then I don't mind this deal, especially if EJ has more injury troubles. It would have to be after the expansion draft though

Makar, Girard, Toews, Byram, Giordano, Timmins/EJ is a solid D core

So, in this scenario boston is moving Frederic to move up a few spots in the draft? This draft? Doesn’t make much sense. The two players coming back are nothing (well, i guess the guy in junior could somehow turn into something). Doesn’t really make sense does it? Frederic was a first round pick, and has been playing well for boston. They’ve developed him and the second he starts contributing to the NHL club they move him to move up a few picks in a really weird draft that no one is happy about?

I think Seattle is taking Derek Ryan.

He's from Washington State and Ron Francis signed him with CAR

I always know a trade is close when they’re is debate from both sides. I think that it is imperative for the flames to load up on the 2022 draft even at the cost of a high pick this year. If in the process we can exchange Mang for TK, I think they’re is value for both teams.

I can agree with that, I’m not going to edit the post, but I appreciate your feedback

Regardless of this years draft being weaker, betting on Raty is still better than betting on the likely mid-late 1st in 2022

My goal would be to have 2 or on the off chance 3 (1st rnd picks) in the 2022 draft to compliment the 2 2nd and 3rd round picks we already have. As it gives you bullets to make a serious move on draft day and get the guy you want. Aka Shane Wright
