Why trade away your goalie for so little he had a very strong season and he can mentor Sorokin. If Sorokin because the sure starter then sure trade him but still this doesn't make sense to me? EDIT: Scratch why you are trading him I forgot for the expansion oops. Still seems too little.

Sorokin can start next year and Mitch korn can turn bernier into an above average goalie. It makes sense for the isles to sell high on varlamov

Honestly I think he already is above average. His stats just suck because of the team in front of him. He literally saves games for Detroit or saves them from getting 7 goals a night on them.

I like the Jordan Weal addition. He's still a NHL player, he's just a cap casualty for the Habs this season.

The isles kill the perceived value of their prospects because of how they handle them - so bellows + Aho don’t have much value on the trade market. I don’t see this as an overpayment to move bailey, it’s not cheap to go they rid of a middle 6 W with term.

Obviously cizikas is the best of the 3 but even he’s regressed this season (still an great 4th liner) and I don’t think it’s worth it to give him 3 mill x 5
