You could probably get Ekholm with that offer but Ellis would probably take either Heinola or Perfetti. The deal you proposed is what I expect Dumba would be, minus Copp.

There is probably almost no chance Winnipeg moves Samberg and a 1st for Ellis with his cap hit and contract length.

Instead of Tatar, I would try to get Danault. Slide Scheifele or Dubois to the wing.

If we are stepping up for a 1rhd then I would like to see a Pulock or Severson coming our way

I'd much rather Ellis to Severson minus age I suppose.

Pulock is good but I believe just 1 year from Ufa so value is limited

not anymore

1 year of Dman is not worth that package unless an extension is involved

thats a pretty good package for Ellis, Winnipeg may need to add another pick (2nd) but it looks alright

Copp is playing on the third line, has 37 points (15 goals and 22 assists), can play center of wing, has a FOW% of 52%, and is a 2way player who can contribute to the pp and pk, and is only 26

Samberg is an A prospect and can probs push for a job in 2021-2022 season

and then a 1st is involved

It’s reasonable to say it’s too much for a year but it’s not enough for the term on Ellis.

I think our biggest disagreement is the value of Copp. IMO he’s a 3rd liner that’s having an anomalous year and he’s got arb rights. I don’t think anybody touches him unless they think they can sign him for term less than his arb award (probs at least 4.5).

As for Samberg, I’d rate him more B prospect that will top out as a #4 but that’s semantics. Maybe a #3 if things go really well. I really think that if NSH is gonna move Ellis, they’ll need Heinola.

Personally I just don't see Perfetti being ready for the NHL next year.
