Cernak isn't cap Fodder!!!!!!!
Tampa Bay no chance the give up their best player at their weakest position on an extremely club friendly contract. Especially for a LHS defenseman where they are loaded.

Trust me, I agree, I wouldn’t want to give up a guy like Cernak either.
Something is going to give in Tampa though. Seattle may rescue you guys from some cap, TJ for example, but still think it will cost an arm and a leg simply for the fact that cap is king right now. If they don’t take any of your high cap guys in the XD (Gourde, Palat, Killorn or TJ) and just take a B6 guy on a cheap deal, then what will TBay do? They all have clauses to some degree, and very few teams that they would waive to actually have the cap space to take them. IR may have conveniently rescued Tampa this year, but eventually something needs to be done. I just thought that a deal like this is still a decent return for a completely cap ****ed team.

Love the response. Figured moving 10-15 spots is pretty decent for eating that contract

Yeah there are 9 guys IMO who are untouchable or almost Gretzky was traded ,but they are the 4 NMC'S and Sergachev Cernak Foote Point Cirelli. You can get around NTC'S threaten to to waive if they don't agree not optimal but Killorn, Palat,Gourde would all be claimed. TB pays Seattle to take either Johnson or McDonagh

Yeah, but the difference between the players at 5-10 and 17-21 will be big IMO. There’s like 6 guys in the top 10 that could go top 2, then you hit like #10 and they’re just like average to above average prospects. Jets would have to give up another piece going back. Maybe Vesalainen to Vancouver with that first as they’ll need some younger forward depth. Honestly might take Winnipeg’s 2022 1st to get them to consider. Just make it top 7 protected and it’s fair.

Also doubt Tampa does that deal. Cernak is literally their only legit top 4 RHD. Maybe Tampa sends Johnson + Groshev and a 2022 first to Winnipeg at the 2021 draft, Jets send the 2022 1st with their 2021 2nd and vesalainen for Vancouver’s 2021 1st and Loui Eriksson. Jets just grab hamonic and they’re just as good at RD. Jets could also bury eriksson and use the money from that and the cernak money to find a better RD somewhere.

I was moreso just saying that Tampa wouldn’t move cernak so we’d have to look elsewhere. We can find another guy. Pionk should be playing with Morrissey anyways. Maybe I should’ve used the term “different” instead of “better” as it’s more fitting.
