Their will be bidding so idk. Fair market resign value id say 4-4.25, but the Sabres will be doing their best to keep him and have cap room, and hes one of the better UFA goalies so theirs going to be more than one team, i wouldnt be suprised if he was locked in at 5 - 5.5 mill

No he's not. There's no example for him to use as a comparison in past history to justify anything near $7M or long term. He only has 117 career games to date and as much as he's been good this season, only been 20 games. That's a hot streak. Andrew Hammond had a hot like that and then vanished basically from the NHL. Sure Ullmark's prior season was good, but again it was only 34 games. He has no history as a proven starter that can handle 50+ games per season which is what would justify $7M per year or more. You're talking the same salary as Tuukka Rask, and Marc-Andre Fleury and even more than John Gibson and Jacob Markstrom. Sorry, I get that Ullmark's been good this season, but he's not worth anywhere near $7M per season on a long term deal.

Best comparison would be a Scott Darling type deal. 4 years right around $4-$4.5M so this clogger is certainly not far off
