What are the obvious reasons? I’m not really that familiar with Martinez’s play, I just know that he is a solid offensive dman, and thought he would be a good addition for 1 year.

the cap hit isn't the issue, even though it's horrendous. I wouldn't sign him for 1,5M lol

Not gonna lie, I am still traumatized over that 2014 SCF game 5 double OT loss. It was a magical run and I felt like my heart was ripped out when it ended like it did. Maybe if we got killed, but when 3 games go to overtime and 2 of them double OT, it hurts.
