Wrong. That is what he is believed to be worth on the open market. Hyman wants to play in Toronto, and has been open to the possibility of taking a pay cut. Had there not been an expansion draft imminent, Hyman would already be resigned. And even is we did have to pay him 6.5 management would do that without batting an eye, but it won't come to that anyways.

Doubt it. If it comes to the leafs needing to resign him at 6.5 (which it won't), letting Freddy walk will clear 5 mil, Gally would free up 1 mil, and Foligno (who is likely going back to CBJ) would free up 1.3 mil. Easy

then you have to fill another forward and goaltending role. -$1.5m to -$2m there at the very least.

i know it can be done. i have a team that shows it can be done. it just kills the depth of the team.

He’s worth a late 1st because his age. But Ducks don’t move him unless we get a big name prospect because we need a young RW with Zegras and Comtois like Terry

late 1st seems to steep. career high of 18 points and career high of 34 point full season pace. the value is probably in the middle. i could see a 2nd.

Yeah I could see that as well. But I don’t think there’s any good chance they move Terry unless a team was willing to amaze the Ducks with an offer
