Kyle Palmieri perhaps? They been looking for a right handed top 6 winger for what feels like forever. That said, he’s been pretty bad this season so maybe not
danault as a 2C. granlund as a 2RW/3C. oleksiak on defense. hall on offense...
hall - monahan - tkachuk
JG - danault - lindholm
bread - backlund - granlund
some 4th line vets

I tend to take this seasons results with a grain of salt

he didnt want to be traded to a canadian team so I doubt hes signing with one in FA
I think Taylor Hall stays in Boston. He’s actually been playing really well defensively. Back checking etc. He’s finally on a team with structure and cohesion.
I'm not sure but I do think if Treliving is trading one of Gaudreau or Monahan, I think it's Gaudreau.
Trading both just doesn't make sense IMO.
I think JG goes at the TDL 2022. Maybe Monahan too. It’ll depend on what kind of season the Flames have next year.
I’m sure you guys are aware of his NTC and his 5 team trade list- just that he has one and not who is on it.
Trade Gaudreau
Lose Backlund to Seattle
Sign Danault
Draft Kent Johnson
Depends on what slit the Flames are drafting in but I’d go after a one of the top RW this year. Dylan Guenther or Chaz Lucius.
I’ve been saying Danault would be a great UFA for them.
I agree will all of that. I think Hall signs for decent money in Boston for like 5 years at $6 m or so.
Yeah they can probably afford him with Rask's contract ending and he seems to fit well there right now. I feel like the contract will come back to bite them though when that first line eventually fades

I really like Oleksiak. I’d love to see him in Boston but I think the Fkames focus will be up front. They have several LD already. They could use another RD. Giordano is not playing third pair. He will be with Tanev and Hanifin and Andersson will pair up. They could use a vet RD to mentor Valimaki.

He’s put more life into Krejci since he arrived. That line with Craig Smith has been great.
Treliving will have $14.5 m to work with and 10 roster spots to fill. I think next year will be rough.
Back on the topic of what Flames do, Sutters system seems to be working pretty well now that he has fully implemented it (possession stats have favoured the Flames in most of their last ~10 games). I think they just call it a bad year and reup then make a decision by the deadline. Put Pelletier on Backlunds wing and maybe Zary on Lindholms. Run Gaudreau - Monahan - Mange as the first line since it did look good when together. Having Hanifin back will help a lot and put Valimaki with Tanev to reduce Gio's ice time more.
This is all assuming Seattle takes like Kylington or someone less relevant. Overall this is what I expect not exactly what I want.

I think Ian Cole would be a great add on a short term contract. He plays LD and RD. He could mentor Valimaki.

Maybe, I just think Tanev can already do that so well. he made Hughes look amazing last year so why not Valimaki too. We cant keep relying on Gio so much anyways, gotta do what Boston did with Chara and lower his 5v5 time but keep him for PK

From what I read they wanted Giordano back with Tanev because Giordano was tired of holding up Andersson.

Thats a really weird way of putting it, no idea where you read that. The coach separated Gio and Andersson for a few reasons:
1. They did not mesh well this year
2. Gio is getting old and shouldn't be playing top minutes nearly as much
3. Hanifin and Andersson have previous success together
Regardless that has nothing to do with putting Gio on the 3rd pair next season sinve Hanifin and Ras would be the 1st pair
