Hall and Krejci signed

Created by: kscoop
Team: 2021-22 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: May 3, 2021
Published: May 3, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Keeping Coyle on the RW is a perfect way to get Studnicka in his regular position playing on a regular basis. Coyle has looked really good at RW and perhaps is the line 3 RW solution moving forward. Plenty of cap space to acquire a 3rd line center if Studnicka fails.

(We should let Seattle take Debrusk)

Ritchie has 24 points and is magically on 1st pp while being an ultimate physical force (to people he can catch up too lol).

This looks good. I used to think we'd lose Lauzon for sure to SEA, now I'm not sure. I doubt CGY gives up a 2nd for Kase, though.

    i agree.
but i don't think the bruins would get a 2nd for Kase. I woudn't put Grzelcyk on LD3.
Would be nice if all of our UFA accept these offers

Debrusk will bounce back next year imo.

I think the Krejci signing is a tad low but he's been the highest paid Bruin for 8 years. Time to return the favour to keep the Cup window open. As for Hall, if he wants more he will again find that money with a team that stinks as most contenders cannot afford this cap hit.

Kase sucks. We'd be lucky to get anything for him.

No matter what direction the Bruins go this summer, they are one of the few good teams that has lots of flexibility with their cap space.

if the bruins can resign hall for under 6,5m per year i'm fine with that. I hope they also can keep mike reilly, but i think he is hard to keep.
whats the max. $ you would give him?

Max I give Reilly is 2.5 million per. Otherwise, look elsewhere. Maybe 2.75 but that to me is the absolute max I go.

psshhhh guys I dunno... I think there's some guys in the AHL that will push Debrusk out of a spot (Studnicka, Fredreic). Yes, I was serious about keeping Ritchie, there's not many guys like him who can somewhat put up points and fight really well (gosh if he was just more assertive sometimes), I believe Debrusk is very replaceable at this point and it would be nice if we could package Debrusk and Moore to Seattle and get like 6 mill off the cap.

Ritchie haters gonna hate but it's simple maths, 24 points >11 points. Also I dunno if you heard Cassidy's last media interview, the man completely through Debrusk under the bus, I believe he said something like "he's played with every center on the team it's up to him now" so we'll see what happens I guess

Well the thing about the expansion draft is teams probably aren’t saying, “okay, whoever performed better last year has to be protected.” They’re probably looking at career projections, fit, value, term, team control etc. there is no case for keeping ritchie over debrusk.

Actually there is a case for keeping Ritchie over DeBrusk and it's playing out on the ice in performance and off the ice by the coach's comments. Does not mean that it will happen but it does mean an argument can be made.
