I actually really like those moves for Edmonton. Similar to Pittsburgh in the past they grab some decent wing talent that can supplement their ridiculous 2-headed Center monster. Also adding a young capable netminder to split work and a reliable 3C - Solid all around imo. I think it might take a *little* bit more money ($5 million even maybe) to get Schwartz, but still.

I think a dream for Edmonton would be being able to lure Ullmark, who I think is really underrated and has been stuck on a really bad Buffalo team, but this is a good and cheaper consolation option.

The smart move would be to let Barrie walk. That’s way to much money for him and you can’t have him and Bouchard on your right side. The oilers will let Barrie walk and sign Larsson.

Definitely can't afford to give Barrie that money. Have to think the max you offer is around 5.25 and if he wants more you let him test free agency. Great on the PP and provides offence but you need money to pay a guy like Larsson to play the PK and protecting lead type minutes.

Value is way too much to give for Vanacek. Washington can't protect him and he's had one good season as a rookie... far from established to throw that much at him considering Washington has to expose him anyways.

I doubt bidding gets this high on Vanecek, and the Caps have a lot of LHD, but the value is great for WSH and short of, like, a Liljegren offer, I think this probably gets Vanecek.
