Unrelated, but what are the chances that all 4 of those guys are left handed lol
Are hockey players that are left handed just better than right handers for some reason? Like with baseball where they have way more left handers % wise than the regular population

So essentially a one for one, Kakko for Beniers? Interesting idea, I never thought of that.

francisco pinelli, oskar olausson, and possibly cole sillinger.

pinelli is an under-the-radar, consensus first round pick but likely going late who is excellent at skating, high iq, and great playmaker. he's a center with 2C downside and 1C upside imo.
olausson might go 14th-ish but if he falls to 18 or so (i expect the rags to pick around then), he could be a great pickup. he's a winger though.
sillinger likely goes 16th and has a lethal shot, quoted as the best since matthews. he's speedy but slightly one dimensional, although he has high potential and is good two-way. imo he's a substantially lesser version of matthews. he'd be a great pickup for NYR imo.

pinelli, sillinger, lucius, and svechkov are the best options. should he fall that low, lambos could be a great pickup as well. he's not a top 10 pick but he's a steal at 18.

rags would add i think. beniers has high upside, probably kakko + 2nd for beniers + 4th seems right.

I say piss off the league win the lottery and take Berniers 1st or 2nd, I don’t give a damn if everyone complains.

It can't happen because the new rules. Team can't jump more than 10 spots

Love the input and definitely some great options but I think the Rangers need to draft a center this year, they are stacked at every other position

Lucius won't make it out of top-10 (I think). He is also a righty.

I'd add
If he falls - McTavish
If under-scouted fall - Pinelli
If you want big - Helenius
If you want little - Stankoven
If you want offense - Bourgault
If you want two-way - Svechkov

pinelli & sillinger best options then i think. both have 1C upside.

you could also trade your pick with someone to snag like the 8th overall pick and steal someone like kent johnson?

I think its a call for centers.
Johnson is strictly LW.

Also, I think Lucius will be winger at next level too.
Either side...LW or RW. But I don't think center.

If I were Rangers fan, I'd be crossing my fingers that McTavish falls to them.

i like him but that's a risky pick ngl, he's a boom or bust prospect.

Lucius? For sure risky.
Guy couldn't walk for three months. Major leg surgery.
Could be have been #1 overall if there were no health concerns.

Or McTavish?
I think some see him as pretty safe play - lower ceiling, lower floor type.
Obviously under-scouted, but thats the sense I have gotten.

sillinger & pinelli feel like better options than Mas though

Most left shooting hockey players are right handed, most are taught to use their dominate hand on the top of the stick, therefore right handed guys shoot left handed.

To control the puck better? Idk, I’m right handed and shoot right handed.
